All colleagues in hotel were all very good. Food at the restaurant was super and great to see the chef come out and talk us through the menu we had. Views from the bedroom were great.

A local restaurant on the way to the cost treated us to a delicious meal.
Tesco Express is round the corner, too.
Very cosy cottage with prestigeous look, unique layout and private parking.
Communication with the locely owner was flawless and we really enjoyed being there, even if if that was only for one night!

Apartment was fabulous. It was light, airy, clean, comfortable, the views were amazing & it was beautifully decorated.
Ventnor was a lovely place too.
The hosts were very accommodating & helpful. We are 2 friends who wanted to do some of the cycling routes on the IOW & the hosts also went out of their way to help us store our bikes securely overnight if we needed to.
Everything was perfect.

Lovely town on a steep hillside, with a sandy beach at the bottom. Really lovely food at the pub The Spyglass. Botanical Gardens are wonderful, cliff walk lovely in both directions, and a great walk up on to the downs from where you can see the whole Island. Lots of dining options. Super beach areas. Attractive landscaping. Ventnor has some very steep areas but negotiable with time. Taxi services practically non-existent - suggest pre book as far as possible before arrival. .

Really loved the town, wasn't too big.
Really loved the town, wasn't too big. Had shops to cater for all you would need. Very clean. Every where we went the people always welcoming and so friendly. Lots of great walks on your doorstep whether it is along the coast or across the downs. Or there is a great bus service that can take you to the popular attractions. Eating out there were all manner of food you could enjoy. Also at all price levels to suit your budget. Have to say our absolute favourite place to eat based on price and quality was The Bistro. Has extremely steep hills to get down to the esplanade so would require you to drive if you had any mobility issues. Would highly recommend.

Ventnor has lots to recommend it when taken individually - a variety of bars, cafes restaurants and pubs, a couple of mini supermarkets, a lot of quirky independent shops and antique shops, car parking, kids play areas, beach and some walkable attractions. The difficulty is the roads linking the downs, town and beach and all very steep, narrow and winding which made us think twice about getting the car out sometimes.MikeUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Still a bit run down,but the Town is on the Up.Lovely Beach and Esplanade The Town still harbours a few Alkies and Drug users,but they seem to appear to be on the Decline.Ventnor is very Hilly so be warned.The Spyglass is the best pub in Ventnor

Our room was tiny but had everything it needed - including that great view! Breakfast was excellent. Good choice and delicious. The breakfast room opened out onto a spacious terrace overlooking Ventnor and the sea and I can imagine this would be a great place for the events held by the hotel. The building is currently being renovated so there is a little disruption but we were told about this on booking and it wasn't really a problem. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Parking nearby, ten minutes to beach and close to restaurants, shops etc. Handy Tesco Express just around the corner and a full kitchen should you wish to self cater, but local eating establishments are plentiful and excellent.
